Florida is a popular tourist destination for both Americans and international tourists alike. There is so much to do in the state of Florida and so many beautiful beach areas that it can be a challenge to decide where to visit. One place that is worth considering is Indian Rocks. In this post, I'll give you some top tips for your trip to Indian Rocks, Florida, that will hopefully save you a bit of time and hassle.
It's great that Indian Rocks is a year-round tourist destination, although January through April is the high season thanks to the popularity of the area as a spring break destination (not to mention the cold weather elsewhere in the U.S. at this time of year). September through December you'll enjoy the lowest accommodation prices and moderate weather.
May through August tends to be a lot more crowded but offers affordable prices on hotels and other accommodation options if you don't mind the summer heat. It's worth planning ahead to get the best deals and availability for the time of year that you choose.

Indian Rocks has three miles of beautiful white sandy beaches which is its main highlight. Any holiday should include plenty of time to enjoy the beach areas, whether you prefer to soak up the sun or play volleyball with the kids. The waters are crystal-clear and you will enjoy dipping your feet in or going for a swim. I personally enjoy chilling out on a sun lounger whilst watching the kids play in the sand.
Splash Harbour Water Park is a great day out for families. There are loads to do here and it's a particular highlight during the summer months, allowing little ones to cool down and escape from the heat. There are lots of attractions — even a lagoon area for the adults to relax! This is also a great place for the kids to work on improving their swimming techniques.
Clearwater is home to yet more beautiful beaches as well as a highly rated aquarium. The aquarium houses injured dolphins and sea turtles, offering tourists the opportunity to learn a bit more about the marine life in the area. There are also lots of great restaurants and bars nearby.
Indian Rocks is a great place to visit because there is a range of accommodation choices available to suit your budget. Whether you are seeking a budget motel or a five-star resort, you will find a wide range of options to suit your tastes. I recommend booking in advance, especially if you plan to travel during the peak season.
As you can see, Indian Rocks allows the perfect combination of activities and relaxation and is perfect for those travelling on a range of different budgets. Have you visited Indian Rocks? Do you have any tips? I'd love to hear them — leave your comments below!
