Berlin Walking Tour

Before you head off to any specific place in Berlin, it is a great idea for you to explore the city in depth. Take a walking tour of the city and allow a local to show you all of the main landmarks as well as jogged gems you may have missed otherwise. For a history or an art student, the old buildings and landscapes can be a wonderful thing to study. See the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag, and much more.

The Checkpoint Charlie Museum is some amazing artifacts from the history of this crossing as well as the contraptions people put together to try and cross illegally. It’s a great bit of history and something amazing to show your class. 

East Side Gallery

The East side of Berlin breached the wall into west Germany in 1989, and following this breach many artists created pieces on what remained of the wall. This gallery is outdoors and offers a fun insight into the emotions of East Berliners in this time period and the freedom they felt as they crossed the wall. 

Olympic Stadium

Whenever you visit a major city in the world, it is a great idea for you to visit the Olympic stadium. The olympics is a sporting event that every country is involved in and the Berlin stadium is a sight to behold. Take a tour of the Olympiastadion which was built in time for the 1936 olympics and enjoy the view from the top of the Glockenturn bell tower.
