Pura Baby Bottle Review

was recently given a Pura bottle to test out and review. I accepted because I liked the look of its durability and quality and I thought this would be an excellent bottle to carry around with us on our travels!

The Pura stainless steel bottle is ideal for babies and toddlers. You can use it instead of a plastic baby bottle for an infant, or in lieu of a sippy cup for an older baby or toddler. The bottles come with either a nipple-shaped teat (ideal when you’re breastfeeding like me) or the straw cup.

The bottle is crafted from safe, anti-bacterial stainless steel and has no plastic components. It has a 100% medical grade Pura soft sip spout. It is BPA-free and will not leach toxins like plastic bottles and rings. It has internal volume markings to make measuring milk or other beverage easy. It’s also compatible with wide neck nipples and spouts from leading manufacturers, which is really convenient.

I have tested this bottle out a few times now and so far I am very pleased with it. For me, the biggest pro is that it doesn’t leak. This will be a big plus point when travelling through airports (breast milk is an exception to the 100ml rule) and when hiking through the Costa Rican jungle this summer. It will slot nicely into my BabyMule changing bag too! I also love that it will grow with my daughter and that when she is ready for a sippy cut we can simply change the teat.

On the downside, the Pura bottles are quite expensive compared to other bottles. You can view the collection on their website, but the one that I have (an insulated 9os bottle) costs £22. Having said that, like I previously said, the bottle is likely to last a lot longer than your average botte as it grows with your child… so you could argue that it is better value for money!

All in all I would definitely recommend the Pura bottle collection, especially for the travelling parent who wants something durable and insulated that doesn’t leak!
