When The Journey Is More Important Than The Destination

Travelling is a huge part of life for anyone that enjoys seeing more of the globe. No matter how long you have for each trip, you know that a lot of your time away will be spent on the journey. So why not make your holiday or vacation all about the journey? Transportation is as varied and engaging as the destinations you’re visiting. Here are just a few of the ways you can get away in style:

Train

Taking a train as part of your commute is nothing at all like taking a luxury train journey where you sleep on board. Perhaps the most famous of these was the Orient Express. Nowadays, the luxury and grandeur may have gone. But if you choose the most beautifully scenic routes, you can immerse yourself in amazing style with awesome sights to enjoy. From the Canadian Rockies to the winding tracks of Italy – where will your train take you?

Cruise

Cruise ships have never been bigger or better equipped to suit every activity and taste you might think of. Swimming pools, fully fitted gyms, ice rinks, and cinemas are just a few of the facilities you might find on board. Then, of course, are all the amazing ports you might visit. Some cruises offer you the chance to sample a different country every day of the week. You don’t have to hop off the boat though. Why not stay on board and enjoy the quality cuisine or a spa?

Yacht

Cruise ships are great, but they can be quite busy. You can never escape that annoying couple in the next cabin! With a yacht charter, you can enjoy a journey to anywhere you like with just the company of your closest friends and family. For sailing holidays Greece has to be one of the best places to tour. Islands with different views and delights are scattered throughout this area. Warm sun, gorgeous beeches, and the chance to come and go as you please.

Cycle

The cycling tour has been enjoying something of a renaissance. With the emphasis on beautiful landscapes, you can meander your way through the French countryside, Italian vineyards, or even the challenging terrain of the Alps. Your fitness level should be quite high for the toughest tours. But even if you’re not usually clad in lycra, you can rest assured you’ll be fitter and healthier by the end of the tour. There are great road bikes that you can buy as well as mountain bikes.

Road Trip

When most people think of road trips, they think of the big open roads and highways of the United States of America. But there is no need to commit to one country when you drive through Europe. Much of Europe is interconnected by land. Ferries, bridges, and tunnels can take care of the rest. The driving is tougher for the roads that twist and turn through the stunning natural landscape. But that just makes the views all the more incredible. How do you like to travel?
