Camping continues to be one of the most popular outdoor activities in the U.K. According to a report, nearly camping in an RV or tent for years, you’ve probably spent a lot of time in popular local and international campsites. This year, why not try to camp in some of the most unusual camping destinations in the world? Not only is it a unique way to experience the benefits of being outdoors, but you also get to take home wonderful memories of these fantastic camping sites. Here are some of the most unusual camping destinations to visit in 2018.

Rivendell Glamping Pods, Cornwall, UK

If you like the idea of camping in style, then head to Cornwall and try glamping in the Rivendell Glamping Pods. Living in the pods allows you to camp while enjoying the comforts of home. All you need to do is to pack a waterproof backpack with a few clothes and toiletries, perhaps some food items and ingredients, and you’re all set to enjoy a peaceful and luxurious holiday in the countryside. The micro pods come equipped with Wi-Fi, a flat-screen TV and DVD player, cooking equipment, and even bedding and towels. You can enjoy fly fishing as long as you bring your fishing license and equipment, and you can also go cycling on any of the trails.

Limburg, Belgium

You’ve probably tried camping near the water, but have you ever camped on a raft? In Limburg, Belgium, you get to experience staying in a raft tent and explore the river. Sleeping on the water gives you a unique experience and it allows you to get closer to nature. The raft tents are actually wooden huts built on top of a recycled plastic float. During your stay, you’ll be provided with camping mattresses, gas burners, a garbage can, and a few camping seats. The only things that you need to bring are sleeping bags, a first aid kit, toiletries, food and water, plates, cups, cutlery, and a fishing rod if you plan to go fishing.

Conestoga Ranch, Utah, USA

Go back in time and channel your inner pioneer by camping in a covered wagon rental. A family wagon can fit six people and there are bathroom facilities nearby. If you want a more rustic camping experience, traditional tents are also available and are outfitted with rugs, beds, and chairs. You can cook your own meals or head to the on-site restaurant for dinner. For recreation, go horseback riding, kayaking, ride an ATV, or visit a cave where the ice never melts.

Venture into the tropics with  tropical treehouse. This rental can accommodate five guests. There is one bedroom, one full bathroom, and one-half bathroom. The bedroom has a queen-size bed and two sofa sleepers. In the bathroom, guests will find a toilet, a sink, and a shower. Linens and towels are kindly provided. In the living room, guests will find a luxurious sofa, skylights, a television, one queen-size bed, and one double bed. The fully-equipped kitchen comes with a refrigerator, a stove, an oven, a tea kettle, a coffeemaker, cooking utensils, and dishes. Other amenities include a washer and dryer, Wi-Fi, telephone, and radio. Outside, there is a gorgeous deck with panoramic views of the ocean, fire pit with seating area, a cozy hammock, and a barbeque grill.

Bali, Indonesia

If you're into eco-friendly trips then Bali is your place! This eco-friendly tent with an infinity pool is located in Bali, Indonesia, and can accommodate three guests. There is a bedroom with a full bathroom. The bedroom has a queen-size bed with a canopy and a mosquito net. A children's crib is available upon request. In the full bathroom out on the private deck, guests will find a sink, a toilet, a bidet, a shower, and a soaking tub. Linens and towels are provided. In the living area, guests will find incredible panoramic views of the lush vegetation, hardwood floors, a futon, a sofa, and a flat-screen cable TV with a DVD player. In the fully equipped kitchenette, guests will find an oven, a stove, a refrigerator, a microwave, a mini-bar, a toaster, and a tea and coffeemaker. Other amenities include Wi-Fi, air conditioning, a fan, a safe, a hairdryer, an iron and board, a drying rack, a telephone, solar-powered lights, and parking. Outside, there is a private deck, barbecue facilities, outdoor furniture, a chemical-free infinity pool, and wondrous views of the tropical forest and the mountains.
